Music

I was invited to go to Boondocks, a large open air bar/tiki hut the other night to listen to Howard Livingston.
He is a plays a "Jimmy Buffet" style of music, all original, and he is very good. The island tunes that he played were just toe tapping great.
At times half of the place was up dancing but when he brought out his 1958 Johnson outboard motor fitted with a blender on top, well now, that was a crowd pleaser.
Margaritas were made using the outboard motor and passed around the joint. The only trouble was that Boondocks is about 25 miles away so all 18 of us got on the bus at 4:00 O’clock and road down to the bar. At 10 O’clock PM there we all were dancing by the side of the road waiting for the bus to come by and PU this group of white haired drunks. It was a great time.

The next night it was live music under the tiki hut in the marina. Every Sat night anyone who plays can come out and join the semi permanent band and play along with them, play solo or sing. Another grand time was had by all. When the ladies got up and started a conga line snaking thru the crowd I knew that it was getting time to go.
sorry for the blurry picture
Good music, friends and fun on a Saturday night. Warm days and cool nights I hated to leave but today I unhook the mooring lines and head back up the island chain to fort Lauderdale to PU a friend. We plan to sail the Goose from the east coast of Fl to the West coast via the Dry Tortugas. More on that adventure in the coming days.

The web site hasn’t been updated lately since Anna is up north taking care of little Carter De Commer (freezing her you know what off) and she needs this computer to do the updates with. So your stuck with this Blog for now.
