Solo sailing

The last night in Marathon
Sailing the Snow Goose by yourself is a bit of a handful.
Eddie's normal place when we are sailing
I’ve sailed her many times before single handed but it’s a little bit different when you have to un-anchor, motor thru the mangroves, watch the dog, feed both of you, watch for the ever present crab pots, avoid the coral outcroppings and shipping channels then find another place to anchor, feed us again and then put Goose to bed again.
This ship headed into the channel just after I sailed thru it
A night goes by rather fast and soon it’s time to do it all again. After 3 days, (with a stop to scrap the barnacles off the bottom) Edie and I made it to fort Lauderdale and enjoyed dinner with our friend Nick from Tavaki.
Nick lives on a Warrum Catamaran and is waiting for a ship to arrive to take Tavaki to the Virgin Islands.
While having dinner with Nick the Good Year blimp flew over!
